THE PINK FLEA STUDIO is a new location designed by Abby Davis Vukovich.
Abby has 46 years of experience with Dollhouse Miniatures as well as many years in the arts and crafts world. What began as a passion for art and hands-on creativity, has grown into a welcoming brick and mortar space that is opening its doors to Creative Women!
Abby is working on some exciting plans to help the studio grow, but first the word has to get out!
At the Pink Flea Studio, creativity is for you!
Various medium is offered in the way of creative workshops designed for all skill levels. There is sure to be something for you whether it is picking up a paintbrush for the first time, working with paper ephemera for art journaling, building a miniature vignette or you just want a relaxed, supportive environment where you can build relationships with other women who want a way to express themselves creatively.
Come join us, unwind, and discover the joy of making something beautiful with your own hands.

Oil Painting: Underpainting, Form Modeling, Details

11am - 3pm (4 hours)
📍Where: The Pink Flea Studio

⚠️ Register by November 10th, 2024 as seating is limited. ⚠️

In this four-hour oil painting class, students will explore the essential stages of building a strong, finished painting—from the first brushstroke to the final details. The class will begin with underpainting, where you’ll learn how to establish composition, values, and tonal structure to create a solid foundation for your work.Next, we’ll move into form modeling, focusing on shaping objects with light and shadow, refining proportions, and developing depth and dimension through controlled brushwork and color layering. Instruction will cover how to transition from flat shapes into believable forms using oil paint techniques.This class is ideal for beginners looking to understand the oil painting process as well as intermediate painters wanting to strengthen their fundamentals and workflow. Students will leave with a clearer understanding of how to approach an oil painting from start to finish and greater confidence in their technique.

Taylor Tomlinson

I am an oil painter who finds joy in slowing down and letting each layer of paint tell its own story. Working in oils allows me to build depth, texture, and emotion over time, and I’m drawn to the richness and versatility the medium offers. I’m inspired by light, color, and the small details that often go unnoticed, using them to create pieces that feel both intentional and expressive. Painting is not just my craft, but a constant exploration—each canvas teaching me something new and pushing me to grow as an artist.
